Yoga Vacation Retreat at Casa Grande, Puerto Rico
with Hillary Blackton
September 2 to September 9, 2017
Join me for a relaxing and adventurous week of yoga and sightseeing. Our stay will begin at Casa Grande Yoga Center in Puerto Rico. Set in a stunning valley on 107 lush tropical acres, Casa Grande Mountain Retreat is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The former coffee plantation, now exquisitely landscaped, has 20 rooms scattered up the mountainside, each with a private bath and hammock. A fresh-water swimming pool is cradled beneath a green mountain vista. A fully equipped Yoga Center is for use for individual and group practice. The Café serves three meals a day featuring local and international dishes.

Take time as the Fall season begins for renewal of body, mind and spirit. Hatha yoga classes will be offered in the morning and afternoon. Half-day adventure tours will be arranged such as a visit to an Observatory, a River Cave Park, an Indian Ceremonial Park, a River Adventure Tour, and a Forest Tour. Nurtured by the beauty and wisdom of nature, you will have time to discover your inner peace.

The Retreat price includes airfare, transport to and from the airports, three meals daily and room accommodations. The cost is $2,130 to $1,500 depending on single, double, triple or quad room accommodations.

Comments About the COSTA RICA YOGA VACATION RETREAT
August 30 - September 6, 2014

Shanthi S: Thank you for an amazing retreat. Enjoyed every moment of it. It was truly rejuvenating. Particularly loved the meditation sessions and your reminder for us to take the practice with us in our daily lives.

Linda G: I enjoyed every minute of our week together in Costa Rica. Getting up for 6:15 am yoga class was my least favorite thing, but once I got to the class I was always glad I had made the effort to get there! I really admire your teaching style and your attunement to what your students wanted or needed at that particular moment. I appreciated that scheduled events started on time, yoga classes, meals, outings, and practitioners. No having to hang around and wait.

Cindy G: What an amazing trip! Still looking at my pictures and remembering last week this time. Thanks so much for organizing it. It was a wonderful retreat which addressed body, mind, and spirit for me. I enjoyed the excursions to see the beautiful local sights and scenery, but my biggest and most delightful surprise was meeting and getting to know the wonderful folks in our group. I feel like we experienced a deeply spiritual and bonding time together.

Nisha R: Thank you for planning and organizing the trip to Costa Rica. You had planned everything meticulously . The yoga classes were phenomenal and it has made me realize the value of being Mellow and Quiet.

Fran B: I loved the retreat at Pura Vida. Having yoga class morning and night with excursions in-between was wonderful. I enjoyed meeting all the participants and look forward to seeing them again. What a special time with special people. Thanks Hillary for arranging the retreat!

Ali H: I don't have enough superlatives to say what an incredible experience I had during the Yoga Retreat with Hillary at Pura Vida Spa, Costa Rica. It was a total immersion into the Self in a paradise setting. I had not studied yoga with Hillary before, and her teaching is superb - plenty of personal attention, doing asanas slowly with opportunity to go deep. The two daily yoga classes provided a foundation for walking through the rest of the daily activities mindfully, with increased body awareness and openness of the subtle energies. During the beautiful and adventurous day-trips offered by Pura Vida, I found myself stepping on the earth more intentionally, with more focus on the sights and sounds of the surrounding vibrant tropical life.

I shared this retreat with a group of 13 women, large enough to create the energetic support as we did yoga together, but small enough to create the rapport and intimacy of getting to know each other. Pura Vida Spa is a perfect location - a lush paradise alive with flowers, birds and medicinal plants. The food was healthy, fresh and abundant. All the staff were friendly, helpful and seemed to love what they do. The excellent bodywork practitioners and varied offerings of the Wellness Center also added to my healing experiences of the week.

This was the first time that I have ever treated myself to an international yoga retreat, and I want to do it again - time and finances permitting! Especially in the tropics which I love!
