Fall Classes
Our eleven-week Fall session of yoga classes begins on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 and ends on Saturday, December 21, 2024. There are no classes the week of Thanksgiving: Tuesday, November 26, 2024 to Saturday, November 30, 2024. All classes will end on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
General Information
In the Studio, class size is limited to eight. When you enroll after the session has started, the fee will be pro-rated at $30.00 per class. When registering, enclose payment with the Registration Form you will find under Registration Form. If necessary, you can arrange to split the class fee and make more than one payment. Please let me know if you wish to do this. Unless you hear from me, a space is reserved in the class or classes for which you have registered. Payment will be held until classes begin; so if you are not comfortable at the first lesson, your payment will be returned. When you request a refund after the first class, a $30.00 administrative fee will be deducted from your payment, less $30.00 per class attended as of the date of the request. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. At the Studio, all yoga props are provided.
Classes Less Than The Total Session
If you wish to pre-pay for less than the total number of weeks in the session, it is $30.00 per class.
Drop-in Fee and Private Sessions
You can try one complimentary class. The drop-in fee on a class-by-class basis is $30.00 per class. Private classes can be arranged for $50.00 per hour. Please contact me for details.
Inclement Weather
When the weather is inclement, I will notify you by email and together we will arrange for a make-up date.
Beginning / Continuing Classes
Students with either no previous yoga experience or some knowledge of yoga will find these classes suitable. Postures and breathing practices are reviewed and refined.
Continuing Classes
This level is for students who are ready to move ahead in the knowledge of their bodies, the yoga postures, and breathing techniques. Postures are reviewed and refined. Students are encouraged to build a home yoga practice.
Continuing / Intermediate Classes
These classes are geared towards students who practice regularly and have knowledge of their body dynamics, the yoga postures, and breathing techniques. Postures are refined as we work on strength and flexibility.
Seated Quiet Time
Ten minutes of seated quiet time has been added to the end of class for us to sit together. During this time, we use a breathing practice to quiet the mind and cultivate the ability to focus on what's happening in the present moment. People who have quiet seated time regularly often find that they are calmer than they were before and better able to focus throughout the day. There are less distractions or stresses about what has happened in the past or what will happen in the future.
